Family holidays
Throughout the past few years, Equus Silvania has developed into a popular destination for families. No matter whether you are based in Bucharest and want to spend a weekend, or whether you are planning a family summer holiday - Equus Silvania is the right destination for a relaxing yet eventful holiday. The beautiful site of our facility with all our horses, our donkey 'Maya', the ponies, dogs, cats, rabbits and all the other animals is a true oasis for the entire family.
While the children usually are busy with petting animals, the parents have the chance of hiking, biking or relaxing with a book in the nearby flower-meadows. We also offer pony-riding for children and riding lessons for children and adults in our outdoor arena. Depending on your abilities, we can also take you on hacks of between an hour and a whole day.
We also recommend excursions to charming villages in the hills of Transylvania, to the nearby Piatra Craiului National Park or to the alpine Fagaras Mountains, which we are happy to organise for you. Another highlight is an evening visit to the nearby bear-hide, from where you have good chances to watch brown bears - a true experience.
We offer our family programme year round. Our guesthouse comprises large family rooms that are furnished with double beds for parents and bunk beds for children.
